Revenue Intelligence is the intelligence layer of the revenue system: one source of truth across acquisition, retention and expansion, translated into critical performance indicators (CPIs) with owners and health ranges, connected to a decision cadence — so leadership acts before deviations become results. Dashboards display numbers; revenue intelligence produces decisions.
Beyond BI
Traditional BI visualizes data as it is — fragmented, with diverging definitions — and answers "what happened?". Revenue Intelligence architects before visualizing and answers "where do we need to decide now?".
The Balanced Scorecard lineage
The core thesis comes from Kaplan & Norton (Harvard Business Review, 1992): financial indicators alone are retrospective; management requires a balanced set of leading indicators that translate strategy into action. Revenus' platform — RIS, Revenue Intelligence Scorecard — declares this lineage in its own name.
Three maturity stages
Visibility (everyone sees the same number), Diagnosis (the why, before the cycle ends) and Decision (cadences where data becomes action with owners and deadlines). The honest test: name the last three decisions that changed because of an indicator.
